Nutritional Therapy
Kate uses a whole-food, plant based approach to Nutrition.
Nutritional Therapy is the application of nutrition science in the promotion of health, peak performance and individual care. Nutritional therapy practitioners use a wide range of tools to assess and identify potential nutritional imbalances and understand how these may contribute to an individual’s symptoms and health concerns. A personalised nutrition and lifestyle program will be recommended rather than a ‘one size fits all’ approach.
Nutritional Therapy can offer a great deal of support to clients looking to:
- Optimise their health
- Lose/gain weight
- Overcome digestive issues
- Manage diabetes
- Manage high blood pressure
- Manage cardiovascular disease
- Support fertility/pregnancy
- Improve skin conditions
- Manage hormonal imbalances
- Manage auto immune conditions
…and more!
An initial consultation typically lasts 60 to 90 minutes. Together we will take a look at a client’s:
- current health concerns
- symptoms
- diagnosis and treatment
- medical history
- family history
- lifestyle
- levels of physical activity
- use of medication and supplements
- diet
Kate will evaluate individual needs and use the extensive evidence base for nutritional science to develop a personalised, safe and effective nutrition and lifestyle programme. Kate may work in conjunction with your GP or another medical practitioner. Laboratory testing may be recommended if appropriate, to help find the root cause of symptoms.
Follow up consultations are generally after four weeks in order to monitor progress and make any necessary adjustments. Further follow-ups may be required depending on each individual situation.
